Sylvia, Chief Strategy Officer at Gentera, is a seasoned leader with a proven track record spanning the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. With over two decades of experience in Marketing, Business Development, and Strategy Ideation, she excels in driving transformation across diverse sectors. Sylvia’s focus is to solidify Gentera’s brand as the leader in precision and regenerative medicine.

Previously serving as Director of Business Acquisition and Digital Transformation at Abbott Laboratories for the Latin American Region, Sylvia played a pivotal role in shaping strategies for growth. In 2020, she also co-founded a healthcare start-up focused on COVID Testing and spearheaded numerous global partnerships where she was awarded the Keys to Miami-Dade County for her work during the pandemic.

Sylvia holds an Executive MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business Management and a Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Miami.

Brian Pla co-founded Gentera in 2017 with a simple goal: to bring innovative, high-quality care to the community. Since then, Gentera has grown into a thriving medical company, offering fully personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient.

Brian is passionate about helping people reach their health, wellness, beauty, and longevity goals. By combining research-backed techniques with the latest technologies—like exosome therapy for healing and rejuvenation—he ensures patients get the best possible care and results.

He was also instrumental in opening Gentera’s state-of-the-art Coral Gables office in 2021. With a background in pioneering technologies like Ulthera, Brian introduced PRP, exosomes, and other advanced therapies, expanding non-invasive options for patients. Outside of healthcare, he’s also invested in Real Estate, Telecommunications, and Biotechnology.

Dr. Adonis Maiquez, M.D.

Dr. Adonis Maiquez, MD, is a board-certified specialist in functional and anti-aging medicine with over 20 years of experience. As Principal Investigator at South Coast Research, he leads clinical trials and specializes in autoimmune, neurodegenerative, psychiatric, and metabolic conditions. Dr. Maiquez’s Miami practice offers personalized care, including hormone replacement, peptide therapy, and healing procedures. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is also active in community volunteering. He earned his medical degree from the University of Havana and completed a Neurosurgical Oncology fellowship at the University of South Florida.

Specializing in Orthopaedic Biomechanics and Sports Medicine, including work with the University of Miami’s football team, he emphasizes collaborative care, integrating advanced techniques like nano-scope needle arthroscopy and regenerative medicine.
